Welcoming Dr Jessica Xiong to Eye Associates
We are delighted to welcome Dr Jessica Xiong to the team at Eye Associates. Dr Xiong is a vitreoretinal specialist who brings extensive expertise in the diagnosis, medical management, and surgical treatment of retinal disorders, including retinal detachment, macula hole, epi-retinal membrane, complex cataract surgery, diabetic retinopathy, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion and macular degeneration.
After completing her ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital, Dr Xiong undertook a Medical Retina Fellowship at Westmead Hospital under world-renowned retinal expert Professor Paul Mitchell, followed by a prestigious Surgical Retina Fellowship at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada. There she honed her skills in both complex and innovative surgical procedures including minimally invasive secondary intraocular lens implantation, offering both sutured and sutureless techniques for patients with dislocated or absent lenses.
Dr Xiong’s warm and approachable manner, combined with her dedication to clear communication, ensures patients and referrers receive the highest standard of care. She welcomes patients from all backgrounds and is fluent in Mandarin and conversational in Cantonese.
