There has been many reports in the media about research being conducted by Dr Stephanie Watson in regards to the use of stems cells to repair corneal damage. The use of limbal stems cells is recomended for corneal injuries from chemical burns.

It is not suitable for chronic corneal problems such as keratoconus, post LASIK complications or previous corneal surgery. More information on the procedures for these conditions can be found here.
