Biography

Stuart GrahamProfessor Stuart Graham is an Ophthalmologist who completed his medical degree at Sydney University and his ophthalmic training with Fred Hollows at Prince of Wales Hospital. He completed a glaucoma subspecialty fellowship (2 years in Vancouver, Canada) and has a special interest in glaucoma diagnosis.

Stuart commenced his appointment as Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Science, at the Australian School of Advanced Medicine within Macquarie University in April 2008. This is a new post graduate medical school that will offer higher degrees in medical research and further training in medical subspecialties.

He is a clinical lecturer at Sydney University/ Save Sight Institute. Stuart has a Masters degree and has completed a PhD on methods for early detection of glaucoma using electrophysiology. He has also developed the AccuMap Objective Perimeter with Dr Klistorner at the Save Sight Institute and is co-investigator for several international trials of new therapeutic agents for the treatment of glaucoma.

Stuart is a board member of Glaucoma Australia, and the Therapeutics Committee of the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmologists and is also Secretary of the Ophthalmic Research Institute of Australia.
