LASIK COnsults
Eye Associates can perform an assesment on your eyes to check if you would be suitable for laser vision correction. Our trained consultants will check your vision, asses the shape and health of your cornea and discuss treatment options with you. If you are suitable and wish to proceed with the laser correction, an appointment with our surgeons Dr John Males or Dr Geoff Cohn can then be scheduled.
The initial consult will take approximatley one hour. To get an accurate suitability estimate it is recomended that you cease wearing your soft contact lenses for one week prior to your appointment as your contacts can change the shape of your eye and give inaccurate information. If you are currently wearing hard contact lenses please contact our rooms to speak to a consultant for more information prior to your appointment.
WHAT DOES IT COST
Eye Associates surgeons offer the latest in blade free laser correction (IntraLase) and customised wavefront LASIK to give you the best possible correction.
The intial consult will be free of charge. If you decide to proceed, then the consultant will schedule a consult with one of our surgeons. The cost for this consult is $150 and you may receive a partial rebate from Medicare provided you have a valid referral from your GP or Optometrist.
The cost of the LASIK procedure is $3200 per eye. If you are having both eyes done then it is $6400. This includes follow up consults for 12 months after the surgery.
Eye Associates currently accepts payment by Cheque, Money Order, Visa, Mastercard, Bank Card and EFTPOS.
